Durian oh durian, why are you so delicious….. it’s too delicious until I couldn’t resist it 😂.
Well because now is durian season in Singapore, so this is the best time to eat some durians.
This time, we try one pack of Jin Feng and two packs of Mao Shan Wang from 99 Old Trees.
The good things when ordering from 99 Old Tress is the packaging itself. It’s fully sealed so you don’t need to worry to put the durians inside your fridge in case you plan to keep some for few days and the durian aroma will not coming out.
Because I have ever put durians into fridge without complete sealed, so on the next day, everything that I put inside fridge will have durian taste. It’s quite horrible and nightmare for me. Hehehe.
Jin Feng a.k.a. D198 is a small size durian that consists of pale off white flesh. This Jin Feng has bittersweet taste (sometimes you can taste a bit like alcohol) and the seeds are very small.
Mao Shan Wang a.k.a. D197 is the most famous durian for now and this durian size is from mid to large size. This Mao Shan Wang consists of deep yellow flesh that has bittersweet taste and creamy texture. This durian seed is mixture of flat and large size seeds.
From my opinion, Jin Feng taste is sweeter than Mao Shan Wang. Mao Shan Wang has more bittersweet taste.
I can eat Jin Feng a lot without feeling jelak (sick of eating because of eating too much), but I feel jelak if eat many Mao Shan Wang because Mau Shan Wang is creamier than Jin Feng.
Nevertheless, I like both 99 Old Trees’s Jin Feng and Mao Shan Wang and both are equally delicious in their own characteristic taste.
Overall I am very satisfied with 99 Old Trees. They provide best quality of their durians. Do try ordering from them.
