Chinese New Year Eve in Chinatown is a well known timing to get much more lower prices for Chinese New Year snacks and goodies that are sold in the temporary stalls along the Chinatown street.
Most of the seller will lelong their goodies at a very cheap price as Chinese New Year eve is their last day to operate in the temporary stall. Lelong is a Malay language for selling.
Among the people who went there was me. My aim was to buy mochi. Mochi is a Chinese New Year snack in Singapore that you can easily buy only in Chinese New Year period.
So i joined the crowd and bought mochi at a very great price. On the top of that, I got 3.5 kg of mochi while I only paid 3 kg. Very good deal right?
I like Mochi so much. There are a lot of flavour of mochi such as Peanut, Durian, Mango, Orange, Black Sesame, Red Bean and many more.
I am happily eating mochi while creating this article. How about you? Have you bought Mochi?
