Chinatown has so many divine food and so many different types of food for you to try. Some of the food stalls even got the Michelin Bib Gourmet award. Amazing, right?
One of the food stall I tried that received the Michelin Bib Gourmet award was the Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa.
From the name itself, “Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa”, you could have imagined on how confident the owner was with their Laksa taste. This stall received Michelin Bib Gourmet award every year since 2016.
Maybe you have been wondering, was it really delicious? “It’s indeed delicious…” that was my answer after I tried their Laksa.
I knew the fact that not all food stalls/restaurant that received the award was continuing to sell delicious food. Few of them didn’t maintain their food qualities after becoming famous. While the others increased their food qualities to become the best.
I think Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa is one of them that is maintaining their food quality.
I tried Asia Delight Laksa with Crayfish ($9). They are also selling Laksa without Crayfish for $5.
Asia Delight Laksa with Crayfish consists of noodle, steamed chicken, cockles, beansprout, fishcakes, tau pok (a variety of fried beancurd which is flattish and square with a brown, wrinkled skin and soft, spongy interior), shrimp and crayfish. The broth laksa itself is also rich in flavor.
Laksa portion is quite big. All the seafood are fresh and the crayfish has a sweet fresh taste.
If you are planning to visit this place during lunch time, don’t forget to bring tissue pocket to chope the seat because normally it’s very crowded and difficult to find the seat.
Will I go there again? Yes
