Today I will share with you one unique delicious food creation using Lontong as a main ingredient. I do believe most of you know Lontong and have ever eaten it before. But have you ever heard or tried Lontong Goreng?
Before I start the review about Lontong Goreng, I will describe a bit about Lontong, in case if you don’t know. Lontong is a dish made from compressed rice cake in the form of a cylinder normally wrapped inside banana leaf. Lontong (rice rolled inside banana leaf) is commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. After it’s boiled, they cut the Lontong into small pieces as a staple food which is a replacement of steam rice.
I know what is Lontong, but honestly I have never heard about Lontong Goreng before. This is the first time I experience Lontong Goreng which is made by LontongGoWink.
Does Lontong Goreng mean fried Lontong? I don’t think so. Lontong Goreng is a Lontong mixed with Sambal Goreng ingredients. Wow, it sound uniquely delicious, right?
I try two different Lontong Goreng with different spiciness level which is level Spicy and Extra Spicy. Other than Lontong Goreng, I also try LontongGoWink‘s fried crackers.
The Lontong Goreng level spicy is already quite spicy for me and at the same time (eventhough very spicy) it still taste very delicious.
Can you imagine how spicy is level extra spicy if the level spicy already spicy? No need to imagine, for sure, it’s very very spicy. But don’t worry, to reduce the spiciness, I have a way for you. You can eat this Lontong Goreng together with the fried crackers. It will help you a lot to reduce the spiciness and the crackers itself is crunchy and not oily.
I like these Lontong Goreng and crackers a lot. They also put quite a lot of fried shallots into this Lontong Goreng. The fried shallots makes this Lontong Goreng fragrant.
These Lontong Goreng really surprise me and blow my mind on how delicious these food are.
You will not regret to try this Lontong Goreng from LontongGoWink. Cheers.
