Happy Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim readers.
Normally in Indonesia we eat Ketupat Sayur / Lontong Sayur with chicken and few other toppings to celebrate Eid Mubarak.
In fact, it’s already become a culture for us to eat Ketupat Sayur even though we are not Muslim to celebrate Eid Mubarak.
So for today I will share with you one of my favourite Malay food stall near my place that I frequently buy from.
This Malay food stall doesn’t have a name but it’s located inside NTWU Canteen at Punggol Bus Interchange.
They are selling Halal version of mixed rice, mee soto, mee rebus, ketupat sayur, pisang goreng and many more. They are also selling nasi briyani every Friday.
This time I will share with you their Ketupat Sayur and Nasi Briyani.
Ketupat Sayur consist of Ketupat, boiled egg, several types of vegetables, chilli sauce and santan soup.
This Ketupat Sayur is really nice. It reminds me of Indonesia. It’s also nice to dip crackers into this santan soup until it becomes soggy. Yummy.
Nasi Briyani consist of fried chicken, briyani rice and curry gravy. I also request to add sambal goreng and perkedel.
This nasi briyani tastes a bit different with nasi briyani that you bought on Indian stall but it’s delicious.
Sambal goreng and Perkedel is my favourite toppings, so I always request to add those.
Overall, I really like these food.
