Today I will share with you one well known place that is selling Sarawak cuisine around Bedok area.
This place’s name is Sarawak Delicacy Laksa & Kolo Mee.
Sarawak Delicacy Laksa & Kolo Mee is selling few variants of Sarawak cuisine such as Sarawak Laksa Beehoon, Kolo Mee, Sarawak Laksa Mee, Soya Sauce Noodles, Red Sauce Noodles, Minced Meat Rice, Foochow Mee Sua, Kampua Noodles and few other things.
A lot of variants of cuisine, right? Honestly after I saw these menu, I was quite confused on which one should I try as I couldn’t try all these menu by myself in one shot.
So I decided to order Sarawak Laksa Beehoon and Kolo Mee. But unfortunately, no more Sarawak Laksa Beehoon for that day as I came too late. In the end, I only ordered Kolo Mee for take away.
Interestingly, the pack Kolo Mee is using traditional way “plastic” instead of container.
Actually I was interested to try Soya Sauce Noodles more than Kolo Mee because I thought that Soya Sauce Noodles had richer flavour (they mixed soya sauce with noodles) while Kolo Mee’s noodles wasn’t mixed with soya sauce. But because this was the first time I visited this place, it’s important for me to try the most famous Sarawak dish “Kolo Mee” first.
This Kolo Mee had Kolo Mee’s noodles, charsiew, minced pork and soup. There was no fried wanton in this dish.
This Kolo Mee’s noodles texture was a bit soft compared with what I used to try in another place in Singapore. But honestly since I have never tried Sarawak Kolo Mee in Sarawak, so I didn’t know which texture was the authentic one.
Charsiew and Minced Pork had rich of flavour and delicious. These flavours really boosted this Kolo Mee overall taste.
Overall it’s yummy but not the best one among the Kolo Mee that I have ever tried in Singapore.
What do you think?
