Even though I’ve been living in Singapore for 15 years, I realized I haven’t explored much of the city or its diverse food offerings.
Recently, I decided to take my dear to Serangoon Garden to visit the renowned Chomp Chomp Food Centre.
Chomp Chomp only opens in the evening and tends to get crowded, so we arrived around 5 PM to beat the rush that starts around 6 PM.
By 5 PM, most of the stalls were open, with some just starting to set up.
Since it was our first visit, we chose our meal the traditional way: by following the longest queue. We opted for Fried Hokkien Mee from Ah Hock Fried Hokkien Noodles.

Ah Hock offers only fried Hokkien noodles, priced at $4, $5, and $6.
We chose the $4 portion to leave room for other dishes.

The order system at Chomp Chomp is well-organized. They asked for our table number to deliver the food directly to us. So, make sure to remember your table number before ordering.
Honestly, when the food arrived, we were a bit skeptical because it looked dry and plain.

However, with the first bite, we were amazed by the rich flavors and delicious taste of the Fried Hokkien Noodles.
We never expected it to taste this good based on its appearance.

We absolutely loved this dish and highly recommend everyone to try it.
It’s definitely worth taking the bus from Serangoon MRT to get to this place.
