I just went back from my hometown Jakarta for a short trip holiday to meet my dear.
As expected from me, whenever I go, I always try my best to look for a delicious food to share with you all.
I visited Petak Enam – Gedung Chandra to hunt nice legendary food. Fyi, Petak Enam is one of the Chinatown street version in Jakarta.
One of the legendary food around there that I will share with you today is Cempedak Goreng Spesial Cik Lina.
Based on my dear, she said that it’s really hard to get this Cempedak Goreng: either waiting hour is super long or out of stock.
So since I didn’t want to be disappointed, we went there quite early (around one hour before opening hours) to queue and got first queue order.
Truth to be told, even though we got first queue, we still had to wait for the seller “patiently” to make this Cempedak Goreng (Chempedak Fritter).
But, all the efforts paid off once I tried this Chempedak Fritters. For 20.000 rupiah (around $2), this Chempedak Fritters size is super huge and it could be shared for two people.
It’s crispy and Chempedak is fragrant and sweet.
Fyi, since chempedak is seasonal fruit, they would not able to sell it if they can’t find the chempedak / not in season.
I believe Cempedak Goreng Spesial Cik Lina is the only place in Jakarta that sells Cempedak Goreng.
So, do try it. You will not regret it.
