Today I will share with you one home business selling authentically savoury Indonesian cuisine which is foccusing on Minangkabau and Padang cuisine in Singapore.
The name of this home business is Dapoer Q.
I try several types of Dapoer Q‘s dishes such as Rendang Sapi Minang, Udang Patai Balado, Ayam Goreng Balado, Ayam Bumbu Langkuas, Dendeng Balado, Soto Padang and Keripik Sanjai.
Rendang Sapi Minang is a Minangkabau style of Beef Rendang. Fyi, Minangkabau is one place in Indonesia that is famous for their Nasi Padang and Beef Rendang. The beef is big and tender. The rendang is tasty, spicy (not that kind of spicy so people who don’t like spicy still can eat this rendang) and savoury.
Udang Patai Balado is a Minang style of hot and spicy ingredients sauce (Balado) with Shrimp and Petai beans. Normally you eat this with rice and ketupat. The shrimp is big, fresh and crunchy. The petai beans are fresh and crunchy. This Balado chilli sauce is also very tasty.
Ayam Goreng Balado is Fried Chicken with spicy Balado chilli. This Ayam Goreng Balado consist of four big pieces of chicken (from whole chicken cut 8) with three pieces of Quail Egg. It’s spicly delicious.
Ayam Bumbu Langkuas is a traditional Indonesian fried chicken that is fried without batter and using galangal (langkuas). This type of fried chicken is really tasty.
Dendeng Balado is crispy sliced dried meat with balado chilli. It’s crispy and addictively spicy.
Soto Padang a.k.a Padang Soto is one of a Padang cuisine that contains of beef, perkedel, white vermicelli noodle, crispy beef lungs with clear broth soto that is made from a lot of types of herbs. They serve this with fried shallots, scallions, dark sweet sauce, chilli, red colour of crackers and potato chips. This soto is best to eat while it’s still hot. This broth soto has very rich herb taste and overall this soto Padang is delicious.
The last is Kripik Sanjai. Kripik Sanjai is Minangkabau Cassava Chips that is made from sliced cassava that is deep fried in coconut oil until crispy. After that, they mix this chips with sweet and spicy Balado chiili sauce. It’s crispy and yummy.
Overall, most of these dishes (except Kripik Sanjai) are best to eat with rice.
I like these dishes so much and I believe you will also like it. Do try it 😀.
