Doraemon Cafe

Doraemon Cafe

Do you remember Doraemon favourite snack?

Yes, I do. It’s Dorayaki.

Sometimes I was wondering when I watched Doraemon cartoon and read Doraemon comics, why Doraemon loved Dorayaki so much.

Is it really tasty? Is Dorayaki really existed in reality? Too bad until now I still couldn’t answer my own questions whether Dorayaki is a real food or how tasty is it.  It’s because I have never been to Japan.

Sounds sad right? 😂

Luckily yesterday when I went to The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022, I saw Doraemon Cafe is selling Doraemon’s version of Dorayaki.

This Dorayaki menu name is Doraemon Toraya Dorayaki.

Doraemon Toraya Dorayaki ($6.90) is a pancake sandwich filled with sweet red bean which is limited and exclusively made by Toraya, a maker of Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) founded in early 16th century in Kyoto.

This Doraemon Toraya Dorayaki’s sweet red bean filling is yummy and not too sweet, so no wonder why Doraemon loves it so much. It must be because of the red bean 😛.

Other than Doraemon Toraya Dorayaki, I also found one of fantastic edible Doraemon gadgets named Memory Bread.

Speaking of Memory Bread, I do believe all Doraemon hardcore fans will definitely know about the use of Memory Bread.

Memory Bread allows Nobita to memorize any contents printed on the loaf by following these steps: Nobita need to press one side of the loaf on a book that has the text or pictures, in this case is mathematic algorithm. After that, the mathematic algorithm text will be automatically printed on the loaf and after Nobita eat this loaf, he will remember the mathematic algorithm that is printed on this loaf.

Doraemon Cafe’s Memory Bread menu name is Doraemon Memory Bread.

Doraemon Memory Bread ($17.90) consists of one slices of very thick loaf that has mathematic algorithm printed on it with four types of toppings, such as Sweet Red Bean, Honey, Butter and Strawberry Slices with White Colour Sweet Cream Foam.

The most matched toppings to eat with this loaf is Strawberry Slices with White Colour Sweet Cream Foam. Then after that is Sweet Red Bean, Honey and Butter.

The best thing after eating this Doraemon Memory Bread is that I could remember the answer of these mathematic algorithm without studying it first.

So cool right?

Overall I am happy eating Doraemon Toraya Dorayaki and Doraemon Memory Bread. It also brings back my childhood memories about Doraemon.
