It was pretty hard to find restaurants that was opened during the first day of Chinese New Year in Singapore.
Many of them were closed and normally the opened ones were mostly inside the mall.
Luckily I found one restaurant nearby Redhill MRT named EATcetera, so I decided to give it a try since I went to Redhill MRT station to buy plants via Carousell.
EATcetera was a Pan-European dining concept which was influenced by the flavours of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia and Belarus.
Pretty interesting restaurant, right?
I tried their Brunch Menu: Egg Benedict ($15++).
Egg Benedict consists of Toasted Muffin, Streaky Bacon, 2 Egg Poached, Hollandaise Sauce, Baked Tomato and Green Salad.
Since the star is Egg Poached, I will start the review from there. They served two different types of egg: fully set white with the yolk was thick and runny and fully set white with the yolk was mostly set and still a little runny in the middle.
Well, I didn’t know which one was supposed to be, but I preferred the second one: fully set white with the yolk was mostly set and still a little runny in the middle.
The Hollandaise Sauce was nicely blend with the dish and Streaky Bacon was surprisingly tender because I thought it would be a little hard to chew.
The toasted muffin had a little bit crisp (I liked it) but the baked tomatoes were super sour 😅. Perhaps they should purchase the sweet one instead 😂.
Overall this Egg Benedict was a good option meal to try and they also served free of warm water.
