What We Ordered
My dear and I decided to try a mix of their offerings:
• Signature Fish Soup (Small – $6.20) with Yee Mee (+$0.80)
• Kaya Butter Toast Set ($4)
• Teh ($1)
• Iced Lemon Tea ($1.60)
Since the shop is called Fish & Kopi, I figured their fish soup must be a highlight—so I went for it without hesitation.
First Impressions & Taste Test
The fish soup was served piping hot, with fresh fish slices and a flavorful broth. One of the best parts? You can take as much fried shallots as you want! Since I love them, I definitely didn’t hold back. The crispy texture added a nice contrast, and pairing the soup with yee mee was a great choice—it soaked up the flavors beautifully.
The Kaya Butter Toast was another highlight—crispy, well-toasted bread with a thick, generous spread of kaya and butter. Simple but delicious!
For drinks, I went with Iced Lemon Tea, while my dear ordered Teh. Turns out, the lemon tea was such a refreshing choice that she got a little jealous. Maybe next time, we’ll both get the same thing!
