Craving for an authentic Gudeg but you don’t have time to travel to Yogyakarta? My dear and I found one place named Gudeg Jogja Bu Tinah at Stasiun Gondangdia (Gondangdia train station) Jakarta, selling authentic Gudeg that I could guarantee that Gudeg taste was really delicious.
Honestly, it was pretty confusing to find this place, but luckily inside Gudeg Jogja Bu Tinah’s IG had a video that directed you to arrive easily to this place.
We ordered two plates of Gudeg Komplit (Gudeg that added all the toppings that they had).
We thought that we would get small portions, but apparently the portion was very huge.
Gudeg Komplit consists of steamed rice with opor ayam (chicken), sayur nangka muda (young unripe jack fruit is stewed for several hours with palm sugar and coconut milk), opor ati ampela (chicken liver and gizzard), opor telur (egg), tahu bacem (tofu), tempe bacem (tempeh), krecek (cattle skin spicy stew dish), chilli and two types of gravy sauce.
What a pack meal, right?
This Gudeg was super delicious. The chicken was tender, sayur nangka muda was sweet and tasty.
I loved krecek so much. Chicken liver and gizzard were also yummy and tender.
The gravy sauce was also tasty.
Although it is located at the small road side and not typical of restaurants at the mall, we really recommend you to try this Gudeg.
Believe me, it’s totally worth it.
