Looking for delicious Japanese cuisine without needing to fly to Japan? You should visit the Hanabi Matsuri event at Waterway Point’s Village Square, organized by Isetan Singapore.
Residents of Punggol will be delighted with this event. Hanabi Matsuri is open daily until July 7, 2024.
There are many interesting and mouthwateringly delicious Japanese dishes to try.
Our first choice is the takoyaki from Nakayama Shokuhin. For $9, we got six pieces of octopus balls. These takoyaki are indeed delicious, with tender octopus cubes that melt in your mouth. My dear also loved them.
Our second choice is the $6.80 fish cake crab from Mitamura. This fish cake crab looks uniquely interesting with its eye-catching red color. It’s tender and tasty, with a texture and flavor similar to Indonesian otak otak.
Our third choice is the $4 Strawberry Candy. The seller mentioned that the sugar and, possibly, the strawberries come from Japan. The strawberry is sour but fresh, and the sugar is not too sweet.
Our fourth choice is the $8 Rich Pistachio Gelato from Coco Gelato. Coco Gelato sells handmade gelato with no artificial coloring or fragrance. Their premium flavor, Pistachio Gelato, is more expensive but well worth it. You can taste real pistachio nuts in this gelato, and we loved it.
There are many more dishes we wish to try, such as Kumamon Pancake, Deep Fried Chicken Higo Marunoya, and much more. Maybe next time!
