Hougang Pasar Malam: A Festive Start to 2025
As we wrap up 2024, Hougang Pasar Malam is adding vibrancy to the neighborhood, running until mid to late January 2025. While it might not have the same hype as Punggol Pasar Malam, it’s a cozy spot for Hougang residents to enjoy the lively evening atmosphere.
Chinese New Year falls on 29 January 2025, and while there aren’t stalls selling festive decorations yet, they’re bound to pop up soon as the celebrations draw closer. The market will undoubtedly transform into a hub for picking up colorful ornaments and festive goodies.
On our recent visit, we indulged in some classic pasar malam treats. The churros from Loco Loco were delightfully crispy and sweet, while the refreshing coconut drink from the Fruit Tea stall was the perfect way to cool down—a must-have for us whenever there’s a pasar malam in Hougang.
