Attention Hougang Residents!
From now until July 30, 2024, there’s a Pasar Malam happening near Hougang MRT station.
This Pasar Malam is one of the largest I’ve seen, though not all stalls are open yet. They should all be up and running in a few days.
This time, we decided to try some less crowded food stalls to avoid the long queues. Here are our recommendations:
- Old Time Stall: Prawn Ball ($2.80)
The prawn balls are very crispy, even more so than those from famous shops in Singapore. We loved them!
- The sPud Guy:
- Jacket Spud ($4) with Cheese ($1.50)
This is mashed potato with mayonnaise, crispy onions, and additional cheese. It’s delicious!
- Beef Tahu Bagedill ($5.50 for 5 pieces)
These are also quite tasty.
We also tried a drink but unfortunately forgot the stall name.
For your information, The sPud Guy is 100% Muslim-owned.
Overall, this Pasar Malam in Hougang is a great addition for all residents, including us. Enjoy!
