Craving Delicious Nasi Lemak in Bugis? Check Out HUSK Nasi Lemak
If you’re in the Bugis area and have a craving for a delicious plate of nasi lemak, you might want to visit HUSK Nasi Lemak. Tucked away inside Bugis Cube, this spot is truly a hidden gem—so much so that you might miss it if you don’t know where to look. I actually discovered it through Instagram!
We decided to try two different dishes: the Signature Chicken Cutlet Set (S$10.80) and the Fried Tilapia Fish with Assam Pedas Sauce Set (S$11.80).
Now, let’s dive into the food:
The Signature Chicken Cutlet Set came with a generous serving of nasi lemak, their signature crispy chicken cutlet, crunchy fries, achar (pickled vegetables), fried ikan bilis (anchovies), peanuts, chili, and a soft-boiled egg. The chicken cutlet was slightly oily, but it was incredibly crunchy and flavorful. The nasi lemak itself was delicious, and the chili had a nice kick, while the achar added a refreshing tang.
Next, the Fried Tilapia Fish with Assam Pedas Sauce Set featured nasi lemak with fried tilapia covered in a flavorful assam pedas sauce, along with the usual sides: crunchy fries, achar, ikan bilis, peanuts, soft-boiled egg, and chili. The assam pedas sauce had a spicy, addictive quality that paired perfectly with the crispy, non-oily fish.
Overall, we really enjoyed both dishes. If you’re looking for tasty nasi lemak with unique twists, HUSK Nasi Lemak is worth a visit!
