Kedai Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda

Kedai Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda

Today I will share with you a famous Makassar cuisine (Indonesia) that the main ingredient is using banana.

This food name is Es Pisang Ijo. Es Pisang Ijo is a dessert that contains banana wrapped inside green flour, bubur sumsum, shaved ice with red colour syrup and condensed milk.

Bubur Sumsum

Fyi, bubur sumsum a.k.a. sweet coconut rice porridge is one of Indonesian traditional dessert.

I bought this Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda from Kedai Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda (Jakarta, Indonesia).

This Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda is sweet and very delicious. It’s also refreshing especially if you eat it during hot weather.

The banana itself is nice and not overripe.

Even though it’s using red colour syrup and condensed milk, the taste is not very sweet perhaps because of the shaved ice diluting the sweetness a little bit.

Overall I like this Es Pisang Ijo Pemuda so much and it’s best not to take away this dessert as the shaved ice will be melting.
