Today is the day that I marked my food hunting adventure not only in Singapore and Indonesia, but also Malaysia and Thailand (even though I physically haven’t been to Thailand before 😂).
Since this is the first post about my food adventure in Johor Bahru, I would share with you about one place selling egg tart that was really impressed me because they were able to make me want to wait one hour to collect those egg tarts.
This place name is Kedai Kopitiam Oriental Kopi inside The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey.
Actually at first I didn’t know that Kedai Kopitiam Oriental Kopi was famous for their egg tart. I only saw this place for having super long queue and from far I saw this place’s food looked delicious.
But too bad because I was very hungry at that time, I decided not join the queue.
Feeling a bit wasted, I decided to buy their egg tart to take away and surprisingly I needed to wait one hour to collect the egg tart after paying 😅.
After collecting the egg tarts, I knew that this egg tart was actually freshly baked and this egg tart has been recorded inside The Malaysia Book of Records for the thickest egg tart and most number of egg tarts sold.
What a luck that I was able to find this shop and tried their egg tarts.
I bought six pieces of egg tarts and got one free egg tart for 29.40 ringgit (before service tax).
This egg tart was really thick (shell) based on the looks and crunchy.
The egg tart was also fragrant and delicious. It was one of the nicest egg tart that I have tried so far.
I really recommend you to try this egg tart. It’s really worth to try.
