A Farewell to Malaysian Food Street: One Last Taste of Pudu Claypot Chicken Rice
This morning, we headed to Sentosa for some activities when my friend suddenly dropped a bittersweet piece of news—Malaysian Food Street will be closing its doors for good after tomorrow, 16 February 2025.
Hearing that, a wave of nostalgia hit me. Pudu Claypot Chicken Rice isn’t just a dish to me; it holds countless memories of late-night meals after work, sharing stories and laughter with my friend while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Sentosa.

Knowing that nothing lasts forever, I decided to seize the moment. Since we were already nearby, I asked my dear to join me for one final taste of this iconic dish.

And let me tell you—it did not disappoint. The rich aroma, the sizzling hot claypot, the perfectly seasoned chicken and rice—it was exactly as I remembered, a taste unchanged by time.

Though my friend couldn’t be here today, I hold onto the hope that Pudu Claypot Chicken Rice will return to Singapore one day. Maybe then, we’ll sit down once again, pick up our chopsticks, and relive those good old times.

If you’re curious about this legendary dish, don’t miss your last chance—go tomorrow before it’s gone!
