Looking for a delicious Nasi Padang around Orchard area? My dear and I were quite lucky to find it recently.
This food place name is Minang House.
Located on the second floor of Lucky Plaza, Minang House is surprisingly quite a well known among Indonesian because almost all the people eat there are Indonesian.
My dear was very happy and I saw her eyes shining seeing this Nasi Padang 😂.
She ordered one plate of steamed rice with beef rendang, opor chicken, shrimp sambal petai, sayur nangka muda, sayur daun singkong kuah santan and banana fritter.
What a graceful meal right?
The beef rendang was very similar like Indonesian version both in the meat texture and rendang sauce taste. It was not very tender, yet it was nice and the rendang sauce taste was legit.
Opor chicken taste was not so similar like Indonesian one, but still acceptable.
Shrimp sambal petai was also tasty and quite spicy.
Sayur nangka muda was made from young jackfruit mixed with special type of curry sauce. It was nice.
Sayur daun singkong kuah santan a.k.a cassava leaves curry was tasty.
Fyi, Sayur nangka muda and sayur daun singkong kuah santan are a must order dish in Nasi Padang.
They also gave two types of chilli sauce: green chilli sauce and red chilli sauce. Both sauces were very authentic.
She also ordered es teh manis (iced sweet tea) and she felt this es teh manis is very similar like Indonesia version one.
Overall this nasi Padang was very tasty. My dear liked it so much.
