Looking for a nice comfort food to recharge your energy along The Rail Mall after taking pictures of an iconic rail corridor and surrounding scenery?
You may try visiting Nam Kee Pau.
[reader] But normally you cannot eat directly at Nam Kee Pau (only for take away) because most of their stall don’t have any place to sit.
[me] Yes, true. But no worries, you can eat directly right after ordering at Nam Kee Pau The Rail Mall branch. It’s because this Nam Kee Pau is located at a small shop that provide tables and chairs for customers to enjoy their food.
Fyi, Nam Kee Pau is famous for their handmade Pau. Other than Pau, they also have Siew Mai, Glutinous Rice and main dish such as Mee Hoon Kueh, Ban Mian Soup, Ee Mian Soup, Koka Noodle Soup and Pork Porridge.
I try Koka Noodle Soup and Big Pau.
Koka Noodle Soup contains koka noodle, green vegetables, meat and soup. They serve Koka Noodle Soup in hot condition. This Koka Noodle Soup is not bad. It’s a good dish to warm your body especially if you are having this dish when it’s rain.
Big Pau consists of Pork Meat and Egg. This Big Pau is nice (no wonder it’s famous), the size is also quite big and definitely will make you full.
Actually other than Koka Noodle Soup and Big Pau, I also like their Siew Mai and Glutinous Rice (my most favourite). But at this time at The Rail Mall, I only have Koka Noodle Soup and Big Pau for my lunch so I don’t have their Siew Mai and Glutinous Rice pictures to share with you all.
P.S: I visited Nam Kee Pau before new regulation to not eat outside has started.
