Punggol Pasar Malam is currently happening in front of Punggol MRT station (bus interchange side).
Since I stayed around Punggol area, I visited this place few times (fun fact) not to queue for the food, but to see the plant seller 😬. Mostly, I visited this Pasar Malam on evening after going back from the office.
The reason is because when I observed the most of the food stall’s prices, I felt that the average price now is increasing quite high and becoming more and more expensive. I understand that perhaps Pasar Malam rental price is also increased, but that is my thought as a consumer.
Having said that, I occasionally bought Taiwan Sausage one or two times because I like it.
Other than Taiwan Sausage, I was also interested to try one Indonesian Sweet Martabak stall named Terang Bulan SG Surabaya’s Finest Martabak Manis at this Punggol Pasar Malam because I missed Indonesian food 😂 and I wanted to support them now as last time they sponsored me sweet Martabak in 2020.
Terang Bulan SG Surabaya’s Finest Martabak Manis offers ten different Standard Martabak ($8.50) flavours such as Chocolate Rice, Cheese, Peanut, Peanut Corn, Chocolate Banana, Choco Cheese, Choco Cheese Peanut, Nutella Oreo, Nutella Biscoff and Nutella Banana.
They also have Party Box ($12), which you can choose four flavours from Standard Martabak flavours to be added inside one sweet Martabak skin.
I ordered one Standard Martabak Chocolate Banana flavour.
They were quite fast in serving my order perhaps because they finished making the martabak skin way before I ordered. But it’s understandable because if not, the queue would be longer and slower to serve the Martabak.
This martabak is pretty nice and will make you pretty full if you eat this alone.
One thing I noticed if you asked me to compare between this martabak with martabak I bought in Jakarta was the taste. They used different brands for chocolate rice, condensed milk and margarine, so the overall taste was also different. But the process of how to make this martabak was the same like martabak I bought in Jakarta.
Other than food, I also bought three different plants: Philodendron Pink Princess, Philodendron Florida and Pennywort.
