The second food stop in Solo, that we explored is Sate Jerohan Sapi Yu Rebi.
Known as Sate Kere Yu Rebi, Sate Jerohan Sapi Yu Rebi is selling few unique satay such as Kikil, Iso, Babat, Paru, Usus, Ati, Limpa, Ginjal, Torpedo, Sate Kere, Tempe Dele, Sate Daging and Tempe Gembus.
Kikil, Iso, Babat, Paru, Usus, Ati, Limpa, Ginjal and Torpedo are part of the cow innards.
If they are selling cow innards satay, why does Yu Rebi has a nickname of Sate Kere Yu Rebi?
It’s because they are selling Sate Kere and their sate Kere is delicious.
Fyi, sate kere is a cheaper version of satay that is using gembus, so many people can afford to buy it. Their Sate Kere is special because Yu Rebi (owner name) is using special method and ingredient to make this sate kere.
My dear and I ordered Sate Campur (Rp38.000 around $3.60) and Lontong. So cheap, right?
Sate campur had a mixture type of satay, including sate kere.
These satay really absorbed the ingredients and sweet sauce very well until it became superb. Other than that, it was tender as well.
The peanut sauce was also addictive and quite spicy.
All I can say is that this satay is really tasty.
No wonder that Sate Jerohan Sapi Yu Rebi is famous in Solo city. You should try it.
