Today I will share with you about one restaurant in Jakarta named Social Garden that I went to with my dear to celebrate Christmas 2022.
Located inside Senayan City Mall, Social Garden have a concept to bring a delightful experience combining the best plant-based food options, locally produced tea and easy-drinking cocktails amongst many others.
Draped in greenery and nature-inspired elements, Social Garden provides that much-needed space from the hustle and bustle of the city without actually leaving in a socially diverse space, perfect for wholesome brunch or even a romantic date.
What a cool concept restaurant, right?
We ordered Pasta Mie Babi Bumbu Bali (IDR130.000 around $13), Barramundi Bakar Jimbaran (IDR180.000 around $18), Chocolate Marshmallow Pie (IDR180.000 around $18) and Christmas Nuts (IDR135.000 around $13.50).
Pasta Mie Babi Bumbu Bali had pasta with Bumbu Genap Bali, Sambal Matah (Matah Chilli), Kerupuk Babi (Pork Crackers) and Babi Panggang (Roasted Pork).
This Pasta Mie Babi Bumbu Bali appearance was elegant and would stimulate your appetite. It was delicious and unique. They were successful in creating this fusion dish.
Barramundi Bakar Jimbaran had Nasi Gurih (Gurih Rice) with Kangkung Plecing, Toasted Coconut Serundeng and Grilled Barramundi Fish.
At first we thought this Barramundi Bakar Jimbaran would have weird taste because of the ingredients combinations that they put together. But apparently, we were wrong as the taste was delicious.
The Barramundi itself was fresh and tasty. Kangkung Plecing and Toasted Coconut Serundeng taste made this overall taste richer.
Chocolate Marshmallow Pie’s ingredients were Crust Pie, Nutella, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow. It was also decorated with small purple flowers on top of this Pie.
Honestly this Chocolate Marshmallow Pie was quite sweet and it was suitable to be shared with at least 4 people. We tried to eat this and couldn’t finish because it was too big and the sweetness level was quite heavy.
Christmas Nuts was a beverage that we wish to try in conjunction of celebrating Christmas 2022.
It was contained Tequila, Coconut, Cheese Cordial, Pineapple and Christmas Milk Punch.
I didn’t know how many alcohol percentage in this Tequila (We asked the waiter but he was also unsure), but it was okay since it was a special occasion.
Christmas Nuts was nice and we still could tolerate this alcohol level.
Other than great food, the service quality was also good.
To avoid disappointment, it’s better to do reservations before you come.
