Waterway Point recently opens a new restaurant named Sukiya that is specialized on gyudon and Japanese curry rice.
Due to seeing an interesting advertisement about gyudon price started from $4.90 (affordable) and because yesterday (Chinese New Year first day) this restaurant opened, I decided to give it a try.
P.S.: mostly restaurants in Singapore were closed on Chinese New Year first day.
Sukiya has a wide range of menu varieties and few different gyudon types (comes with other toppings than beef). Since this is the first time I try, I should try the original gyudon first. So I ordered (take away) large size of regular Gyudon for $6.90.
Fyi, they have five different sizes portion of gyudon with different prices.
This gyudon consists of tenderly cooked thin slices beef simmered in Sukiya secret recipe sauce and served with hot & fluffy Japanese rice.
This gyudon tastes simplicity delicious. Why do I mention simplicity? It’s because this gyudon taste is coming out really strong when you eat without any other extra toppings.
Why do I say that? It’s because when I try to eat with crackers, I couldn’t taste the gyudon sauce at all and this gyudon taste become plain. But when I eat it without crackers, the delicious taste is rising up and become super delicious.
So based on that, I believe this gyudon is best to eat without extra toppings.
Overall I really like this gyudon and since it’s not very expensive, I don’t mind eating it frequently 😊.
