The menu is refreshingly simple, offering just one item: Laksa for $4. However, customization options are available for those looking to enhance their experience with additional toppings such as extra soup, cockles, fishcakes, and bean sprouts, each at an additional cost.

It’s worth noting that the portions here are on the smaller side, so if you have a hearty appetite like mine, consider ordering an extra bowl.
One of the distinctive features of Sungei Road Laksa is the use of charcoal in the cooking process, although I can’t discern any significant flavor difference resulting from this method.
The laksa itself is a delightful medley of flavors that manages to be satisfying without overwhelming the palate. Each spoonful of the fragrant soup is a testament to the care and attention put into its preparation.

The cockles are a highlight, boasting a generous size and freshness that will surely delight any seafood enthusiast. For an extra indulgence, I recommend adding more cockles to your bowl.

The fishcakes are another standout element, generously portioned and adding a delightful texture to the dish.
