Stepping into Timlo Sastro 2 felt like stepping back in time, as the restaurant has been serving patrons since 1952. What better setting could there be for my inaugural Timlo experience?
Opting for the Timlo Komplit, featuring a medley of toppings, we eagerly anticipated the flavors that awaited us. The bowl arrived brimming with generous portions of telur (egg), sosis (sausage-shaped fritters), rempelo (chicken gizzard), ati (chicken liver), and the pièce de résistance: the flavorful clear broth soup.
The Telur Pindang Bebek, a duck egg prepared in the Pindang style, added a unique twist to the Timlo, infusing it with rich, savory notes.
The sosis, resembling fried spring rolls filled with succulent slices of chicken meat, delighted our taste buds, particularly as the crispy exterior soaked up the fragrant broth.
