Speaking of Singaporean food, it’s not complete if you never try claypot frog porridge.
From what I know, there are few nice claypot frog porridge stalls in Singapore. I will review the one that is located at Chinatown area named Tiong Shian Claypot Frog Porridge.

Tiong Shian Claypot Frog Porridge is quite famous for claypot frog porridge and this stall has already been here quite long.
I had been here two times, but I didn’t bring my camera. Here I am at Tiong Shian Claypot Frog Porridge again and now my camera is ready to do the job 😂.

I ordered Claypot Dried Chilli Frog ($9 small portion) and one bowl of porridge.
Fyi, they have three different sizes for Claypot Dried Chilli Frog: small $9, medium 17 and large $25.

Since I was eating alone, small one was more than enough for me.
They also have other porridge type to try, but I do believe that Tiong Shian Claypot Frog Porridge is famous for their frog porridge. Pretty obvious, right? Hehehe.

Be careful not to use your bare hand to touch the Dried Chili Frog claypot because it’s very hot. But, this is a good sign because this claypot frog is best to eat while it’s still hot.

Inside this Dried Chilli Frog claypot, it has a lot of thick dark brown colour gravy that you have to mix with the porridge. Please remember to mix a lot of this gravy with the porridge because if not, you will miss the main point of eating this frog porridge.

The frog meat is also a lot and it still has frog bone, so don’t swallow it 😂.

The spiciness of Dried Chilli Frog gravy is not overpowering, so you can still enjoy frog meat taste with the porridge.
Overall I like this frog porridge a lot and I don’t mind keep eating it, but too bad the location is far from my place. So if you are in the Chinatown area, do try this frog porridge.
