Many people says new year new resolution. Well, for me new year is new journey to hunt nice & unique food and also interesting events to share with you all.
To start 2023, I will share with you about one hidden gem old school place at Johor Bahru Malaysia that is selling delicious beef and mutton noodles named Triple K Cafe.
Triple K Cafe is located at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee (same area as Hiap Joo Bakery). Even though it’s located at same area, this place is not as crowded as Hiap Joo Bakery, so I categorize this place as hidden gem.
Triple K Cafe is run and the food cooked by one old uncle and one old auntie who serves the food and takes the order.
The moment you enter Triple K Cafe is like you’re entering old time era. I really respect to this kind of place that is still survived competing with modern style of cafe and restaurant nearby.
I ordered one bowl of Beef Kway Teow Soup and Teh.
Beef Kway Teow Soup was simply delicious.
The beef was tender and nice.
The soup was also tasty and rich of taste.
This Beef Kway Teow soup was kind of my comfort food and best to eat while it was still hot.
Also if you can take spicy food, don’t forget to put chili sauce into this soup.
Other than this Beef Kway Teow Soup, they also have super delicious big size of Siew Mai. So if you cannot eat beef, do try their Siew Mai (I do believe they are using pork).
I tried this Siew Mai and I loved it so much until I ordered it again to take away.
Triple K Cafe‘s Siew Mai is one of the most delicious Siew Mai that I have ever tried before. You must try this Siew Mai.
The old auntie told me that I needed to try their chilli sauce to eat with this Siew Mai, but because I preferred to eat this Siew Mai without any condiments, I didn’t try it.
Overall I was really satisfied having breakfast here. It’s really recommended to try and please help to support them.
