Do you remember in my previous post I shared about Saucijs Brood that I found in Pasar Baru (Jakarta- Indonesia) area?
In the same area, I also found an old school ice cream shop named Tropic Ice Cream Palace.
Tropic Ice Cream Palace was one of the legendary ice cream shops in Jakarta that has been operating since around 1950.
From the outside, this restaurant was not really standing out in terms of decoration and to highlight that they were selling ice cream. Many people (including me in the first place) did not aware about this place even though my dear and I passed by many times.
Luckily thanks to online media platforms, we finally noticed about this place and tried their ice creams.
We tried Tutti Frutti and Banana Splits.
Tutti Frutti contained Green Tea, Strawberry, Mocca and Milk ice cream with few pieces of Fruits Cube, one piece of black colour Wafer, Strawberry Syrup and it was served using old school boat shape glass plate.
These ice cream was sweet yet not very sweet and overall ice cream taste was very delicious. Fruits Cube also made this ice cream taste more flavour and fresher.
Banana Splits contained Chocolate, Coffee, Mocha and Milk Ice Cream with two slices of Banana, one piece of black colour Wafer, Chocolate Syrup and it was served using old school boat shape glass plate.
Same as Tutti Frutti, this ice cream sweetness level was very good and banana itself was not overripe.
These ice cream taste reminded me of my childhood food.
