I recently visited Berseh Food Centre and found one Japanese food stall named Tsuzuku which was located on the second floor.

Tsuzuku is selling affordable version of katsu dishes with most of the menu below $10.
From the appearance of the dishes, it looked pretty similar like Japanese restaurant version.
I tried Tonkatsu Set ($7.80). Fyi, all the rice set menu came with salad and breaded shrimp.

Tonkatsu set itself consisted of pork loin, breaded and fried the good old fashion way.

The good thing about this place based on my observation was that they fried these pork loin and shrimp on the spot right after ordering it, so it was definitely fresh and crunchy.
But the downside was because the seller didn’t have anyone helping him, so the serving time estimation was around 15 minutes. I wouldn’t advise you to try this if you are rushing out of time.

The tonkatsu was crunchy outside and chewy inside. As I am not too familiar with Tonkatsu, I am not sure whether the meat is supposed to be tender or chewy.
The breaded shrimp was also crunchy and not too oily.
The seller also gave quite a lot of shredded cabbage and one piece of small tomato.

Overall with $7.80, I was pleased with this Tonkatsu set. So if you are inside Berseh Food Centre, you can give it a try.
