Today I will share with you another stall that has delicious Fried Minced Sauce Noodle a.k.a. Zha Jiang Mian located at the same location as Boon Chiang Hainanese Chicken Rice.
The name of this stall is Ah Fang Yu Tang Ban Mian.
Ah Fang Yu Tang Ban Mian is mainly selling few types of noodles and soup. On their menu that make me interested to try is Fried Minced Sauce Noodle because it’s not very easy to find food stall selling this noodle.
Fried Minced Sauce Noodle a.k.a. Zha Jiang Mian is a famous Chinese cuisine. This Zha Jiang Mian consists of noodles with dark brown thick meat sauce that is made from soybean paste, julienned carrots, julienned cucumbers and chili sauce.
I think this Zha Jiang Mian is a Chinese version of Jajangmyeon.
How to eat this Zha Jiang Mian? You need to mix everything before eating it, so the dark brown thick meat sauce and chili sauce are mixed well with noodles and julienned cucumbers & carrots. As it spreads well in the noodles, you can get crunchy texture from cucumbers and carrots in every bite.
This Zha Jiang Mian taste is refreshing and delicious. Refreshing taste comes from julienned cucumbers and carrots. The brown thick meat sauce plays very important part of Zha Jiang Mian and this sauce successfully make this noodles delicious. Also, it’s best to eat while it’s still hot.
