I have good news for Song Fa Bak Kut Teh fans.
They currently have an on going weekday promotion “Dine-In Value Lunch Set” at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh Waterway Point branch.
They offer three different sets: set 1 (Pork Rib Soup $12.99), set 2 (Sliced Fish Soup $13.99) and set 3 (Pork Tenderloin Soup $12.99).
Each set also comes with one bowl of plain rice, dough fritters (small portion), groundnuts/salted vegetables and King’s Garden tea (with honey).
I tried set 1 (Pork Rib Soup) and chose groundnuts as a side dish.
One thing I realized with this set is the pork rib soup bowl is smaller than normal pork rib soup bowl when I order for non promotion set.
I think there is not much difference in terms of meat quantity, perhaps a bit smaller. The only difference is the soup is lesser but not to worry, since the soup is free flow, you just need to ask them to top up the soup if they don’t do it for you.
The pork rib is tender and has thick meat. They always serve the soup in hot condition and most of the time they keep refilling the soup for us.
I also dip the dough fritters inside the soup until it’s soggy, so the fritters have soup taste as well.
I like it so much and I keep drinking the soup 😂.
