Today I will share with you one place inside Havelock 2 building that sells an authentic Taiwanese cuisine by Taiwanese people named Big Mouth Eat.
It’s really authentic until some of the menu don’t have English name, so it’s pretty hard to know what the food is. So to play safe, I order the one that has English name 😂.
Btw, Big Mouth Eat seems to be the newest food place that open up inside Havelock 2 building.
I order Braised Pork Belly Rice (8.90) and my friend order Taiwanese Oyster Mee Sua.
Both dishes are famous Taiwanese cuisine, so we believe it would not go wrong if we order that 😬.
Braised Pork Belly Rice consists of steamed rice with braised pork belly, braised egg, preserved vegetables and soy sauce braised sliced potato.
This is the first time I see people put soy sauce braised sliced potato inside Braised Pork Belly Rice. Perhaps it’s common in Taiwan.
The taste wise is not bad, but nothing is special.
Taiwanese Oyster Mee Sua consists of few pieces of oysters, mee sua, coriander, chilli and soup.
Taiwanese Oyster Mee Sua tastes a bit bland for my liking, but the oyster is quite big and juicy.
Overall the Big Mouth Eat’s dishes that we tried were a decent one, but honestly nothing is special about the taste that I can recommend.
