Today I will share with you my mom favourite porridge that from long time ago my mom and I frequently have been eating in the morning after buying groceries (since during my high school).
This porridge place name is Bubur Ayam Cianjur (BAC) at Kelapa Gading area.
I still remember last time this porridge was sold by an old uncle and his son using cart on the side of the road. During that time they didn’t provide table, so we just sit on the chair and eat the porridge.
Now, the old uncle is no longer selling the porridge, replaced by his son and selling the porridge in the house garage nearby original location.
The best thing is even though now I rarely went there because of staying in Singapore, he (uncle’s son) still remember me, asking about my mom (he still remember her as well) and he still remember that I don’t like to put peanut in my porridge 😂. Amazing right?
This porridge is a Cianjur version of porridge. It’s quite different with normal porridge because this porridge comes with greenish yellow gravy with a lot of big scallions slices.
I ordered one bowl of porridge which had thick porridge with shredded chicken, fried shallots, red crackers, emping, chilli sauce and greenish yellow gravy.
I also requested to add additional toppings such as fried boiled egg, fried tofu, potato and liver chicken satay.
They cooked and put fried boiled egg, fried tofu and potato inside greenish yellow gravy with big scallions slices to make fried boiled egg, fried tofu and potato absorbed the gravy taste well enough.
Before eating this porridge, I pour a lot of greenish yellow gravy with big scallions slices, chilli sauce, red crackers and emping on top of the porridge and mixed it altogether.
All those toppings is a must have toppings for me whenever I have this porridge and the problem is because many people also like those toppings, so I really have to wake up earlier to visit Bubur Ayam Cianjur.
For me, this porridge is a memorable food that reminds me of my mom, so I love this porridge so much.
