Today I will share with you another delicious food stall nearby Fatt Soon Kueh named Creative Home Dishes.
Creative Home Dishes is selling Cai Png a.k.a. Mixed Vegetable Rice.
Speaking of Mixed Vegetable Rice, this stall is quite special for me because it’s selling many uncommon type of dishes to choose. They also have few rice sets (common dish) on the menu but I recommend you to choose which dish (meat and vegetables) you will add on to your rice because some of the dishes outside the rice set are more delicious and rarely could be found in other Cai Png stalls (please note, the price might become more expensive but it’s worth to try).
Fyi, I have already bought Mixed Vegetable Rice many times from this stall. From my observation, based on the dishes they have, I believe these dishes are more into Indonesian Chinese dishes, so it’s uncommon to find in Singapore.
Let me show you by reviewing Mixed Vegetable Rice that I order.
I order rice with curry sauce, Chinese Indonesian style of Fried Pork Meatballs, Indonesian style of Sambal Petai with Potato & Ikan Bilis and Spicy Squid.
They give quite a lot of Fried Pork Meatballs. It’s quite generous. This meatball is also tasty.
Sambal Petai with Potato & Ikan Bilis is a must order dish for you to try. The Petai is fresh and this dish is delicious.
Spicy Squid has quite a lot of big squid. This squid meat is tender and yummy.
Although this dish cost me more than $5 but they generously give amount of toppings, so I am satisfied with this dish.
