Along Jalan Besar MRT area has a lot of eateries that offer interesting food to try.
One of them is Hock Prawn Mee.
Located inside Shing Boon Hwa Food Centre, Hock Prawn Mee opens 24 hours and is mainly selling prawn mee with various toppings to choose.
There are a total of nine menu to choose and among nine, I chose Pork Rib Prawn Noodle.
Each menu comes with dry / soup selection.
For Pork Rib Prawn Noodle, I chose soup solely because based on online review, their soup is the key element that makes this prawn mee standing out.
For $6, they gave quite generous toppings of meat slices and pork ribs.
Although the shrimp looks very small, I can understand as shrimp normally is quite pricey.
For the noodle, I tried their default yellow noodles. You can also choose kway teow if you prefer that.
They served the soup in hot condition and the soup taste was good even though they seemed to not put prawn head and skin when the soup was boiled.
The meat slices and pork ribs were tender and nice.
Overall, Hock Prawn Mee is a good place to try, especially if you are looking for a supper to warm your body.
