Not too long ago, Waterway Point’s Koufu has a new food stall named Home Kitchen.
Home Kitchen offers interesting yet eye catching menu that surely will make you curious to try.
I try their recommended menu: Chicken Rendang with Butterfly Pea Flower Rice.
Reflected by the name itself, this dish has blue colour of rice that is made from Butterfly Pea Flower, Chicken Rendang, Egg, Ikan Bilis, Cucumber and Chilli.
This dish is very eye catching and even when they serve this dish in an interesting shape of plate that will wow you to put into your Instagram.
How about the taste? The blue colour rice is fragrant and nice. Based on the taste, it seems they are using real Butterfly Pea Flower to make this rice.
So is this blue colour rice make this dish recommended to try? Maybe this is one aspect point that we can include to determine, but from my personal review, the main reason is because of their Rendang sauce.
The rendang is sooo savoury and tasty. The chicken is also big and tender.
If you are visiting this place for the first time, I will recommend you to try their Chicken Rendang with Butterfly Pea Flower Rice, because their rendang sauce makes this dish stand out.
Other than located at Waterway Point, I believe this food stall also have few other branches in different locations in Singapore.
