Who have ever thought that in an unexpected place, I would find quite famous restaurant named House Of Shrimp King?

I called it unexpected place because I went to Tai Seng area to service my camera and while waiting, I was exploring the area and saw the restaurant with red colour interior and had giant lobster hanging on the wall.
Because of curiosity, I was googling “House Of Shrimp King” and found out that it was pretty famous and many people reviewed it.
So even though I just had my lunch at different places, I asked forgiveness and cooperation with my tummy to endure another food.

Luckily, my tummy’s endurance was really strong enough for one bowl of Angka Prawn Noodles ($13) from House Of Shrimp King.
They were serving this Angka Prawn Noodles on two different bowls. First bowl shape looked like claypot chicken rice and they filled that bowl with few pieces of huge prawns and soup and for the second bowl, they put Ipoh Kuay Teow, Bee Hoon, green vegetables, pork lard and a little bit of prawn noodles soup.

From the presentation wise, I guessed House Of Shrimp King really took their business very seriously.
So I was slowly starting to gain their confidence and hopping the Angka Prawn Noodles that I ordered would have seriously delicious taste.

The prawns were fairly fresh and the texture was crunchy.
The prawn noodle soup itself was thick and rich of flavours. Maybe because they boiled the soup with prawn shells long enough to achieve this state.

Ipoh Kuay Teow was another aspect that I felt made this dish more fun as Kuay Teow had the characteristic to absorb the soup pretty well and locked it inside the body of the Kuay Teow.

So If I can make a suggestion, it’s better to choose only Ipoh Kuay Teow rather than mixing it with others like Bee Hoon, Thick Bee Hoon or Yellow Noodles.
I am not sure whether House of Shrimp King really serve a King quality of shrimp and prawn, but what I can say now is that I like their Angka Prawn Noodles.
