During my food hunting to Dunman Food Centre to try Tau Kwa Pau at Say Seng Tau Kwa Pau Original Since 1958, I saw beside this shop had one noodle stall selling wanton noodle that has quite long queue named Joo Chiat Ah Huat Wanton Noodle.
Curious because of the long queue, I decided to try to order their Wanton Noodle. Actually other than Wanton Noodle, they also had Fried Wanton, Chicken Feet and Chicken Feet Noodle. I saw some people ordering Chicken Feet, but I skipped this Chicken Feet because I was a bit full after eating Tau Kwa Pau.

One bowl of Wanton Noodle consists of noodle, green vegetable, char siew and wanton soup. The seller asked me whether I prefer spicy or not and I chose not spicy (I put the chilli in separate bowl) because I couldn’t take too spicy food and I wanted to taste this wanton noodle original taste.
One unique thing with this wanton noodle was that they served this noodle with a little bit of soup (not totally dry). I was curious of the purpose of this and I immediately knew it after my first bite (you need to mix the noodle with the soup before eating). The noodle will absorb the soup and the noodle texture become more springy and wet. It’s a unique experience for me and I like this noodle texture.
On a side note, this wanton noodle is lack of flavours. For me, the taste is bland. I also try to mix with chilli, but the chilli is quite spicy for my liking. Perhaps for people who prefer light taste will like this noodle.

The wanton itself is nice and the char siew is like normal char siew that commonly have in wanton noodle (not juicy and fat greasy type).
Another point to take note that if you are rushing of time, you better think twice before ordering this because other than having long queue, they are also quite slow making this noodle.
This is my personal opinion about Joo Chiat Ah Huat Wanton Noodle. How about your opinions?
