Konjiki Hototogisu is one of the quite new restaurants open inside Waterway Point Mall.
I try Charcoal Spare Rib Ramen. Charcoal Spare Rib Ramen is a Tonkotsu Ramen with charcoal spare rib.
Why do I choose Charcoal Spare Rib Ramen instead of other type of ramen at Konjiki Hototogisu? It’s because of two reasons. From the restaurant looks, it seems like Konjiki Hototogisu expertises in charcoal grilled meat. This ramen is also one of the recommended ramen.
So how is the verdict? It’s quite amazed me. The soup itself has rich flavour and has sweet taste that comes from onion. Although the Charcoal Spare Rib’s size is smaller compare with the picture on the menu, this rib meat has yummy smokey flavour and very tender (melting in the mouth).
Just a little tip based on my personal preference, you may request small plate to put Charcoal Spare Rib separately instead of soak it inside the ramen. Why? It’s because once you mix the meat with the ramen soup, you might not be able to taste smokey flavour anymore as the soup will overpower the rib meat taste.
Overall, it’s a good option to having a lunch/dinner at Konjiki Hototogisu.
