I found another very affordable food stall at Geylang Bahru Market and Food Centre named Ma Bo Lor Mee.
Since the name of this stall clearly mentions food name, I believed you know what do they sell, right? Yes, they sell Lor Mee.
Ma Bo Lor Mee offers three types of Lor Mee: Chicken Cutlet Lor Mee, Fried Fish Lor Mee and Ma Bo Lor Mee. Other than Lor Mee, they also sell few types of Porridge: Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge, Lean Meat Porridge, Minced Meat Porridge, Pig’s Liver Porridge, Shredded Chicken Porridge, Peanut Porridge, Sliced Fish Porridge and Fried Fish Porridge.
The cheapest Lor Mee in this stall is Ma Bo Lor Mee. It costs $2.50. Cheap, right?
I personally like fried food very much. So instead of trying their Ma Bo Lor Mee, I tried their Fried Fish Lor Mee. For only $3, you could get Lor Mee with Egg and four pieces of Fried Fish. Every piece of Fried Fish size was quite big. Amazing, right?
They normally used yellow noodle for Lor Mee. But I requested to put bee hoon instead (no special reason. I was just craving for bee hoon at that time).
The Fried Fish were crispy and not so oily.
Honestly there is nothing special about this Lor Mee taste. It tastes nicely same like a normal Lor Mee that you can find in other shops around Singapore. But for $3 and generous Fried Fish portion, this Lor Mee is very worth to try.
