Today I will share with you one hidden gem place selling chicken rice at Guan Hock Tiong Eating House.
The name of this place is Mian Ji Fan.
I accidentally found Mian Ji Fan while exploring Serangoon Community Club area.
This place location is quite hidden so I believe it’s quite difficult to find if you are not familiar with this area.
I was interested to try this chicken rice because among other food stall, only this place had very long queue. So i joined the queue and ordered one pack of chicken rice with additional chicken liver.
The seller also gave one slice of tomato and achar that consist of pineapple and cucumber inside this chicken rice. Not bad right?
This rice taste is like Indonesian style of steamed chicken rice that my mom made. It’s nice, moist and soft.
The chicken is tender. They give quite a lot of chicken (for this price) and the meat is thick.
The chicken liver is also tender and nice.
The achar makes this chicken rice taste fresh and tastier.
Personally, I like this chicken rice a lot. It’s a comfort food for me. I will definitely visit this place again.
