I recently just noticed that actually Beo Crescent Hawker Centre is quite accessible from my office by taking direct bus.
It took around 10 minutes to reach there and I also noticed that it actually had many unique, delicious food stall and let me tell you a secret, there is one famous Hainanese curry rice hiddenly located in front of Beo Crescent Hawker Centre.
In fact, I can sit inside Beo Crescent Hawker Centre to eat this curry rice although the curry rice place is not inside Beo Crescent Hawker Centre because the location is very near to each other “around four food steps”.
Curious what is the name of this Hainanese curry rice place? It’s a……sorry to say, it’s seems that this stall doesn’t have a name. I can only say this stall is inside Roxy Square Kopitiam but many people named it as No Name Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice.
Me and my colleagues ordered Hainanese curry rice with different toppings, so we could shared and tried different toppings at one shot (of course we already split the toppings before eating it 😁).
Because we ordered many things, I couldn’t 100% fully remember of what I ordered.
From what I remembered, we tried braised pork belly, crispy pork, batterred prawn, sotong, egg and chap chye (vegetable).
The curry itself was tasty although not very thick compared with the other famous curry rice place.
For me, I had two highlight toppings in this dish. First was battered prawn and second was crispy pork.
Their battered prawn was the best so far compared with other places that I tried before (even in Indonesia). It was crunchy to the max.
The crispy pork was also delicious although battered prawn was better. It was crispy, but a bit dry so one or two pieces got a bit hard to chew.
The rest of the toppings were also nice, but it was not mandatory to choose.
Overall, I really really recommend you to try if you are around Beo Crescent Hawker Centre area.
