Other than Bricklane Bar, there is also one Korean cafe named O’Bok Dabang Korean Cafe and Fried Chicken inside SMU that is located right beside Bricklane Bar.
O’Bok Dabang Korean Cafe and Fried Chicken is a cafe that specializes on fried chicken and from the online review, it seems they are also famous for their croffle.
Other than that, they are also selling main dish that categories inside Breakfast and Lunch special menu from 07:30AM – 02:00PM. From the menu name, it seems their menu options is quite special and not easy to find in other similar concepts Korean food.
They have Korean Curry Rice, Jajangbap (jajang + rice), Bulgogi (broth BBQ + rice), 4 pieces of Tofu Sushi (bulgogi, vegetables, egg and crab) and Croffle Sandwich.
Since I went there during lunch time, I ordered Jajangbap (jajang + rice) for $7.50.
I really thought Jajang has either meat or seafood but apparently inside this Jajang, it has only onions and mushrooms. They also give one small piece of crispy seaweed rice rolls (Hopefully the name is correct 😂).
Honestly I was kind of disappointed because there is no meat at all. But never mind, maybe original Jajangbap really don’t have any meat or seafood.
The taste wise is not bad, but honestly you need to order something else like fried chicken to eat with this dish.
Other than that, I also tried 4 pieces of Fried Chicken Wing ($10.80) with soy garlic sauce.
Fyi, there are a total of nine different chicken flavours to choose if you order fried chicken, which are Soy Garlic, Sweet Spicy, Snowing Cheese, Honey Butter Powder, Spicy Chilli Dip, Soy Garlic Dip, Sweet Spicy Dip, Honey Mustard Dip and Wasabi Mayo Dip.
The fried chicken wing is very crispy and they serve it in a very hot condition. The batter that they use to fry the chicken seems to use better quality than the other fried chicken places.
From those food, I realized that O’Bok Dabang Korean Cafe and Fried Chicken is a cafe that is worthy a visit to fix your fried chicken craving and perhaps for snack cravings.
If you are looking for lunch meals, Bricklane Bar will give you a better meals to choose.
