I recently passed by one food shop inside Bugis Junction that is selling Taiwanese dishes named Snackz it!
Because of my curiosity to try, I ordered two dishes: Crispy Pork Bento and Braised Meat Rice.
Crispy Pork Bento ($7.80) consists of rice with crispy pork, braised boiled egg, peanuts, peas and vegetables that are mixed with mayonnaise.
Although the name of this dish is Crispy Pork Bento, there is no crunchiness at all on this crispy pork. The crispy pork is nice and the taste is really simillar like Taiwanese version, just not crispy at all. Maybe they should amend the name 😬. Other than that factor, this Crispy Pork Bento is not bad to try.
Braised Meat Rice ($6.20) consists of rice with braised minced pork, braised boiled egg and preserved sour vegetables.
This Braised Meat Rice is nice and the taste is actually better than Crispy Pork Bento. There are savoury and yummy sour taste in this dish. They also give generous braised minced pork and braised sauce so you can mix it with rice.
Overall, Snackz it! is a good take away food option for your lunch or dinner.
