Today I have good news for you if you stay around Tampines area and if you are craving for Vadai.
I found one place selling Vadai named The Original Vadai.
The Original Vadai is selling few different types of Vadai and few others Indian fried snacks.
I bought three pieces of Ikan Bilis Vadai, two pieces of Grago Vadai and one piece of Prawn Vadai. They also gave free fresh green chilli for you to eat with these Vadai.
From my observation, the most favourite Vadai is Prawn Vadai. It’s very favorable. That’s why they always have long queue waiting for the seller to finish frying it. It runs out very fast.
When I visited The Original Vadai, I queued around 30 minutes plus because the second person onwards would not able to buy anything if the first person’s order haven’t settled.
Ikan Bilis Vadai is crispy and they put quite a lot of Ikan Bilis on top of this Vadai.
Grago Vadai a.k.a. Shrimp Paste Vadai is a unique creation and a non-common food. For me, this is the first time I have tried Grago Vadai. This Grago Vadai is nice.
The last is Prawn Vadai. The prawn is quite huge but I don’t know why the prawn taste is a bit bitter.
Overall, this is a good place to fix your Vadai cravings. I will definitely buy Ikan Bilis Vadai again in near future 😊.
