Today I will share with you a trully hidden gem food (hidden gem in the location plus hidden gem in food type) located at Pasar Baru area (Jakarta – Indonesia).
I called it a hidden gem because this auntie seller is selling Indonesian old school snack named Saucijs Brood (a.k.a Susijsbrood pronounced as Sosis Brood). This food is hardly found in Jakarta nowadays and maybe younger generations don’t have any idea what Saucijs Brood is, it’s hiddenly inside old watch shop named Toko Arloji Mustika Jaya.
I do asked the auntie of the Saucijs Brood shop name and she said there was no name, so she called it Toko Arloji Mustika Jaya Saucijs Brood.
Fyi, Saucijs Brood is a Dutch version of Sausage Rolls which is made from spiced meat rolled in puff pastries. This Saucijs Brood is considered as a snack.
I bought two boxes of this Saucijs Brood and one box contained four pieces of Saucijs Brood. Do not worry because you can buy it per pieces.
The auntie freshly made this Saucijs Brood and the Saucijs Brood skin was crunchy enough.
The meat fillings was also alot. This Saucijs Brood was pretty delicious.
