Today I will share with you one food place that I sometimes visit during lunch time on weekdays.
The name of this place is Venus Cafe. Located at UE Square, Venus Cafe offers different kinds of food in some of their daily menu. It’s quite creative because this cafe targets office staff that will likely be visiting this place for lunch on weekdays.
For the price wise, it’s a bit more expensive than normal hawker food but considering the location that surrounded with expensive restaurants nearby makes this place is a better option to having your lunch.
This time, I ordered my favourite menu: Pork Adobo. Curious what is that? Pork Adobo is a Philippine National dish made from pork belly braised in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and onion. Actually Pork Adobo is similar like Chinese Food version of Braised Pork Belly in soy sauce.
They also added boiled egg into this Pork Adobo.
The key that makes this Pork Adobo tasty is the sauce (although looks like a soup for me). You need to mix the sauce with the rice to make it tastier. But, don’t put too much sauce to mix with rice because it will be too salty.
I like this Pork Adobo because the pork belly itself is tender and the pork belly absorbs the sauce well so the taste is not bland.
A little note for this cafe. If you are rushing, you may need to see whether this cafe is packed with customer or not. You may reconsider if this cafe is packed with customer because their serving time is quite slow.
Nonetheless, Venus Cafe is not a bad option for having lunch.
